The long-awaited Superstar collaboration between beloved actor Jonah Hill and Adidas Originals is finally dropping.

More from Footwear News

The release date for the Adidas Originals x Jonah Hill Superstar is listed on the brand’s website, which is slated to arrive July 11 at 12 p.m. ET. The sneaker will be available on Adidas.com and retail for $140. The brand said the shoe will launch through the waiting room, which randomly gives people access to buy a pair.

“Over the last 50 years, the Adidas Superstar shoes have been shaped by the people who’ve worn them, the courts they’ve played on and the streets they’ve walked down. Jonah Hill brings his own narrative to this modern version, showcasing ’90s nostalgia in the streamlined silhouette. Subtle details add a punk edge,” the brand said of the collab on its website.

What We Originally Reported on March 26

The long-awaited sneaker project between Jonah Hill and Adidas may finally be releasing soon.

The actor-turned-director took to Instagram in January confirming that he has partnered with the Three Stripes. The partnership kicked off with the “Change Is a Team Sport” campaign where the brand brought together its top collaborators to celebrate the iconic Adidas Superstar’s 50th birthday.

New images show that Hill is also celebrating the model with his own version of the classic sneaker coming soon. It features a white-based upper with smooth leather Three Stripes overlays on each side, ribbon-style laces and the signature shell toe. The pair’s standout feature is what appears to be a hand-stitched heel tab with Hill’s “JH” initials embroidered in green at the center with the name of the silhouette stitched on the heel.

The release information surrounding Hill’s upcoming Adidas Superstar collaboration has not yet been announced.

As the world continues to battle the current coronavirus pandemic, Adidas and Reebok’s retail stores across the U.S., Canada and Europe remain closed and will continue to be until at least March 29. Their digital operations, however, including Adidas.com and the Adidas app, are active.
