Jon Stewart is back on set for The Daily Show - and he’s not just filming a cameo.

After nearly a decade away, the comedian and writer will host the topical news show one night a week, and also serve as executive producer.

Just in time for the election cycle, too.

Stewart hosted the show for 16 years, starting in 1999, before stepping down in 2015, succeeded by Trevor Noah.

“If you're unfamiliar with his work, this is the popcorn gif guy,” jokes The Daily Show’s Twitter account.

It's a week of returns: Formula 1 announces new season of Drive To Survive on Netflix.

From February until November's election, you can watch Jon Stewart’s return to The Daily Show every Monday on Comedy Central and Paramount+.
