Jon Hamm has officially joined the musical film adaptation of Mean Girls, and, TBH, much like the rest of his costars, his casting couldn't be more perfect.

Joining Tina Fey and Tim Meadows, who are reprising their original roles of Mrs. Norbury and Principal Duvall, Jenna Fischer as Mrs. HeronBusy Philipps as Mrs. GeorgeAuli’i Cravalho as Janice, Reneé Rapp, who is reprising her Broadway role as Regina George, and more jaw-dropping stars, Hamm has locked in a role that everybody loves to hate: Coach Carr, as announced by The Hollywood Reporter.

The predatory gym coach is everything a high school teacher should not be, but contributes several of the film's undeniably iconic quotes, such as, "Don't have sex because you will get pregnant and die." And while the character wasn't explicitly featured in the stage production, he's assumed to be the unnamed coach teaching Health and Human Sexuality, who gets a quick feature in the first few minutes of the musical.

Hamm is no stranger to those often uncomfortable-to-watch roles, playing a similarly incompetent character in Bridesmaids and, of course, Mad Men's misogynistic Don Draper.

The new film is gearing up to be another memorable collaboration between Fey and Hamm, who also featured in 30 Rock and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmitt. The comedian, who wrote the original film's script as well as the book for the musical, is adapting the new production's script. She and Saturday Night Live's Lorne Michaels will produce.

Hamm is also set to feature in the upcoming season of The Morning Show with Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, who just celebrated her 47th birthday earlier this week.
