JoJo Siwa Thinks It's "Insane" That People Care So Much About Her Hair

From Seventeen

For many, the quarantine brought on by the coronavirus has been a time to slow down, reflect, and attempt to concentrate during your fourth hour of Zoom classes for the day. That's not the case for JoJo Siwa, though.

"Honestly this time has been insane for me," the singer told Seventeen. "I literally piled on more work now than I had before quarantine." The 17-year-old has been putting on backyard concerts, creating a new line of merch, and has gone viral on TikTok multiple times. "You name it, I've pretty much done it."

JoJo has been working on multiple new projects during this time as well, unfortunately she can't speak about many of them just yet, but one of the things she can speak on is her new song, "Nonstop," which drops tomorrow. The music video, which will premiere on YouTube along with the song at 12pm PST was inspired by The Greatest Showman. Of course, JoJo plays the role of the ringmaster.

"I'm super super proud of it," JoJo said about the song and music video. "It's honestly probably my favorite of anything I've ever done music wise. I'm really excited that it's finally here."

Being her first new song in over a year, JoJo feels like it's an introduction into her newer style. "My music has changed," she said. "What I want to write about has changed. So it feels new and updated and fresh."

As for more music, we can expect some of that too. JoJo said she has five new songs ready to go, but didn't mention when the fans will be able to hear them.

In the meantime, though, you can pretty much catch the YouTuber...everywhere. She is currently staring on Fox's Celebrity Watch Party along with her mom, and she has taken over TikTok with her dance videos and take on viral challenges, like the "Wipe It Down" challenge where she let down her pony tail for a rare moment.

JoJo said she did not expect the video to go viral, especially after two other videos with her hair down already did very well on the platform. "I was like, 'I've already put it down twice, a third time people are going to be over it,'" she said.

Of course, that wasn't the case, and the video got almost 8 million likes and spawned multiple headlines. As for how she feels about all the attention on her hair? "It honestly makes me laugh," JoJo admitted. "My hair went down and the world went insane."
