Jojo Siwa Says 'I Realized I was Gay,' Fell in Love for First Time, and Had First 'Heartbreak' All at Disney
They don't call it the happiest place on earth for nothing. While previewing the new TRON Lightcycle roller coaster, Jojo Siwa talked with People about her fondest memories at Disney World.
"I have a lot of really fun memories here. I have a lot of really hard memories here, but I have grown a lot at Disney," She said.
The dancer and influencer then went into one of her previous relationship, and how it started — and ended — at the parks.
"I fell in love for the first time at Disney World. I realized I was gay at Disney World. I went through stages of heartbreak at Disney World. There's been a lot in my personal life that Disney World has really attributed to," Jojo continued.
Jojo came out in January 2021 before introducing the internet to her now ex-girlfriend Kylie Prew in February.
"I was here for 14 days with a girl that was my really good friend and I realized that, 'Oh, I like her.' And having all those feelings while just being in the most magical place in the world and the happiest place on Earth was so cool. We're not together anymore, but we did have some really fun, happy memories here," she said.
Jojo also remembered "the tension of riding every ride, sitting next to each other, walking around the park like my brother and his girlfriend because we thought it was funny. But really, we both just wanted to hold hands. Those memories just make my heart so happy."
Kylie and Jojo dated on and off before officially calling it quits for what seems to be the last time in August 2022, saying on an Insta live that they'd been broken up for two months already. Then, a month later, Jojo made it TikTok official with fellow influencer Avery Cyrus, and the internet was *not* happy about it. The two started hanging out and posting together just days after the announced breakup, and although Jojo and Avery would say they were only friends, fans were speculating that there was something more between them and thought that it was too soon for Jojo to be moving on to another relationship. On September 13, Jojo hard-launched her romance with Avery in a TikTok where they shared a smooch in a Chuck E. Cheese photobooth. They dated for three months, breaking up in December.
As of now, Jojo seems to be single, and happily so.
