If you’ve ever watched an episode of the train wreck of toxicity that is, “Dance Moms,” then you know that the show was heartbreaking to say the least. And, even though the show features mothers and daughters, it’s such a far cry from the positivity in other shows like, “Never Have I Ever.”

One of the standouts, JoJo Siwa recently posted a video on her TikTok channel that features clips from her time on the reality show, “Dance Moms.” And, yes, it’s an eye-popping, tear-jerker.

The clip is a split-screen where footage from an old episode runs on one side and JoJo reacts to it on the other. The moment is taken from an episode where Abby Lee Miller, the head coach at Abby Lee Dance Company (ALDC), says to the girls, “I asked each of you to do a homework assignment, I wanted you to write about JoJo; reasons she should not be part of the Abby Lee Dance Company.”

You can see Abby encouraging the girls to say their piece. Some of which were: “Sometimes she’s very loud,” “sometimes she’s off with the dances and sometimes she’s a little too crazy,” and “you have time issues.”

JoJo Siwa started her path to stardom at just 9 years old when she was a contestant featured in season 2 of, “Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition.” From then, she went on to appear in season 5 of “Dance Moms,” where she and other child dancers completed training at ALDC.

In the clip, little JoJo can be seen wiping her tears and doing her best to maintain her composure. But, not before Abby yells at her, “No crying children.”

Abby also screams, “She deserves nothing! Don’t have an attitude that you are entitled in this world, you deserve nothing.” She adds, “You’re lucky to even be a guest here at the ALDC.”

JoJo, who is now 19 and has cultivated a big social media following, reacts to the video with smiles and laughter. JoJo was even featured as part of Time’s 2020 list of 100 most influential people in the world.

ALDC ran for a total of 8 seasons and during that time, Abby became infamous for her demanding and brutal approach to coaching the girls. Not to mention, also engaging in screaming matches with some of the moms! JoJo and her mother, Jessalyn Siwa, stayed for just under two seasons before being contracted by Nickelodeon.

JoJo’s video features this written on it, “When people hate to try and hurt me but this was my childhood…” and the caption is a quote by Abby that just further proves the toxic culture she upheld, “‘You have to be ready to put your heart on a platter, and for someone to stab it’ – Abby Lee Miller
