Longtime JoJo Siwa fans have seen her drama with Candace Cameron Bure play out over the last few weeks. But now, it looks like the former dancer has her mom, Jessalynn, to corroborate her side of the story.

In case you missed it, JoJo participated in a viral TikTok trend where she named the coolest celebrity she's met (Elton John), the nicest (Miley Cyrus), her celebrity crush (Zendaya) and more. But when she named Candace as the rudest celebrity she's met, supposedly because the Full House actress refused to take a photo together on the Fuller House premiere red carpet, the former Hallmark star confronted JoJo about the callout. Candace later posted an entire Instagram video explaining her side of the story, basically claiming that the two had talked it out and everything was fine.

Now, in a recent post to Instagram, JoJo's mom shared a clip recounting the first time her daughter met Candace. The caption of Jessalynn's post reads: "I talked about this on my podcast a while back. The recent story told wasn’t quite right so here is the real version. At the end of the day this story, it’s not about a simple photo it’s about how you treat people. Real, genuine kindness always goes a long way. It’s super easy to quote a Bible verse when everyone is looking at you but morals are what you have when no one is looking. 🌈"

Taken from an episode of her podcast Success with Jess, she detailed her version of the events, which JoJo claimed to be different from the way Candace described it. According to Jessalynn, Candace not only refused to take photos with her then-12-year-old child at the premiere of Fuller House, but couldn't be bothered to interact with her when they were both guests on a popular talk show.

"JoJo ran into DJ and she's like 'Oh my god, I love you so much. Can we please take a selfie?' She's like, 'Not now, maybe later,'" Jessalynn said in the clip shared on August 1. "Fast forward, we go on the Kelly Clarkson Show. Who's on the day JoJo is on? I go, 'If she even asks you for a picture, please say, 'Not now, [maybe] later.' Just kidding!"

But as Jessalynn pointed out later on in the video, it's less about what went down and more about how the moment still lingers in her daughter's mind to this day.

"Maybe she was having an emergency and her kid was crying and she was trying to get ahold of the babysitter," she continued. "I do not know what was going on but it's funny when you don't know and somebody treats you like that ... And it's hard to be a celebrity. I'll give it to you, but that was so long ago and I still remember it!"

Overall, fans had varying reactions to JoJo's mom's comments. "This is starting to feel like a publicity grab. Not a good look," a fan commented on Jessalynn's Instagram post. "I love you and Jojo but I think this is being blown way out of proportion!" one more said. Still, others found themselves on Jessalynn's side. "Mama bear said .. my turn to speak… lol," a fan wrote in the comments section.

One thing's for sure: Many are ready to move on from this drama.
