Johnny Depp's career is continuing to bounce back after his very public defamation trial last year.

It's almost been a year since the Pirates of the Caribbean star battled things out in court over his ex-wife Amber Heard's abuse allegations against him, and now, he has found himself with a cushy new business opportunity on his hands.

Depp, 59, has signed a lucrative new fragrance deal with French luxury fashion house and cosmetics brand, Dior, and the payout is actually expected to be record-breaking. According to Variety's report, the three-year deal is estimated at upwards of $20 million, which the outlet states is the biggest men's fragrance contract ever.

A partner with the brand since 2015, Depp is making hisstory as his new deal overshadows Robert Pattinson's $12 million deal with Dior Homme, and Brad Pitt's $7 million pact with Chanel No. 5. Even Chris Pine's deal with Armani is valued at just $4 million a year.

But the news likely doesn't come as too big of a surprise, as Dior stood by Depp despite pressure to drop him amid the abuse allegations and consequent courtroom saga involving him and Heard.

The highly-publicized trial mesmerized the public, with many of the Edward Scissorhands actor's loyal fans sticking by his side while both he and the Aquaman actress took the stand to testify.

In the end, the jury sided with Depp and the claims made in his countersuit, awarding him $10.35 million in damages at the time. Heard later settled the suit and agreed to pay her ex $1 million.

But despite the public outcry against Heard amid the trial, some fans still find Heard's testimony convincing, and have spoken out denounce the public glorification of Depp amid the pair's highly controversial and problematic past.

"the most disappointing decision ever made this year so far," one Twitter user said of Depp's new Dior deal.

"this is so disgusting," added another.

"Justice for Amber," someone else wrote.

But nonetheless, an overwhelming amount of users were adamant on showing their support for Depp, including one fan who called the new deal "well deserved."

"I'm so happy for him," someone else added.
