Was John Mayer Once in a Throuple With Two Reality Stars—Including Someone From The Hills ?

John Mayer, Scheana Shay of Vanderpump Rules, and Stacie Adams (a.k.a. Stacie the Bartender) from The Hills were allegedly in a throuple back in 2008, at least according to Shay. 

She appeared on the Flashbacks podcast and talked about first meeting the singer when he was dating Jennifer Aniston in 2008 and Shay was working at the Grand Havana Room in Los Angeles. Shay says she ended up “getting wasted” with Aniston and Mayer during a private party. “Every time they did a shot, they would get me a shot,” she said, per People. “They invited me to go back to [Aniston's] place in the Palisades after for an after-party.”

Shay didn't go but says that later—after Mayer and Aniston broke up—she and Adams started hanging out with Mayer. 

“This went on for about six months, that we hung out. We would go to his house,” she said. “It just became, you know, kind of the three of us. We had a little throuple going on. But then there was, like, me and another her. Everyone always had attention." And, yes, she means sexually, which one of the hosts asked her. 

Honestly, as an avid Vanderpump fan, I'm surprised we haven't heard Scheana talk about this at length on the show. Remember how often she told us her then boyfriend Rob Valetta could hang a TV in under seven minutes?!

Though this next part of the story truly sounds like the Scheana we all know and love. 

“I definitely got a little jealous toward the end of it because I knew he liked her more,” Shay said. “And I was like, ‘Wait, I brought you into this, like, and now you’re getting more attention than I'm getting, like what’s up with that?’ And then even after him and I stopped talking, they continued talking, and there were, like, a lot of things—like, her and I had, like, a year of just awkward friendship falling out, but then came full circle a year later and…have never been closer.”

Shay says she was fired from that job because she was hanging out with Mayer (whom she calls a “great guy”)—but that led her to working for Lisa Vanderpump at Villa Blanca and then SUR. “So if it wasn't for John Mayer, I wouldn't be on Vanderpump Rules,” Shay said.
