John Legend has announced a partnership with Etsy – comprising ethically-sourced, artisanal products that 'draw inspiration from his own interior style'.

The Grammy-award-winning musician, who lives in Los Angeles with his model wife, Chrissy Teigen, has curated a limited-edition decor collection – featuring pieces designed by women, Black, and underrepresented sellers.

'It's important for me to fill my home with high-quality pieces made by people who approach their craft with intention,' John says. 'Getting to collaborate with these talented artists was such a special experience – because the finished products tell a story about the people who made them.'

From larger furnishings (like a retro vinyl player stand) to smaller accessories (including woven vases and velvet cushions) – the collection celebrates his and Chrissy's own decorating ideas – famously influenced by H&G-approved designer Jake Arnold.

The collaboration is Etsy's first with the singer, featuring 11 different shops from five countries, including the US, Canada, Bulgaria, and the UK. However, they have promised to work together again on another Creator Collab later this year – so we have even more pieces to look forward to in the near future, helping more underrepresented creatives in the process.

H&G's top picks from John Legend's Etsy collection

The collection is now shoppable on Etsy – and while we'd happily add everything to our cart, we're starting with these six pieces below.

Oak Vinyl Player Stand

This solid oak wood piece has three functional compartments – carefully designed to accommodate our audio equipment.

Alongside room for the vinyl player, the furnishing comes with a flip box for keeping records in order. The front of the unit consists of vertical slats that form a stylish, openwork structure.

Mid-century City Planter

Inspired by New York's Chrysler building, this 'City Planter' is described as the 'epitome of cool urban design' – inspired by John Legend, naturally.

This recycled wood container is designed to seamlessly fit any four and six-inch pot (with room to spare) – so we can showcase our house plants while making a sustainable statement.

Handmade Coffee Mug

With its distinct textured matte glaze, this ceramic mug is the perfect container for your morning coffee, available in three colors: peach, mustard, and green. Each piece is handmade in a small pottery studio in Berkshire, England, and is carefully crafted with a deep commitment to sustainability.

Heirloom Woven Vase

Rooted in West African craft tradition, this unique vase is woven using distinct sweet grass in the Gullah community in South Carolina. The tradition dates back to the eighteenth century and is described as one of the oldest African craft traditions in the United States.

The John Legend-approved vase is sold separately from the basket, also seen in the listing.

Spice Velvet Lumbar Pillow

Soft to the touch yet highly durable – this spiced velvet pillow cover adds a subtle hint of color to any living room or bedroom.

We love how the toned-down color is versatile enough to work in almost any neural-hued space – while working with other pillows that you may already have. And, of course, this pillow will last a lifetime.

Handmade Ceramic Catchall Tray

We love how this Ceramic Catchall Tray is both minimalistic yet sophisticated – designed to accentuate various spaces throughout our homes (but we think it would look particularly beautiful in the living room).

The trays are influenced by Mother Nature, reflected in their circular shape and speckled, earth-toned nature.
