Awards season is in full swing, and truly we can't wait to see all of Joey King's red carpet looks. She's already wowed us at the Golden Globes, wearing a black-and-white Iris van Herpen dress that looked like an optical illusion, but now the actor has gone full Cinderella!
As JustJared Jr. reported, on January 7, Joey showed up at the Deadline x SAG Q&A in Los Angeles to promote Hulu's limited series The Act, wearing an '80s-inspired minidress with puffed sleeves. The dress, in a baby blue shade, is definitely something the fairytale princess would have worn should her story have taken place today, not centuries ago.
Joey kept her accessories on theme, rocking pastel blue pumps, a teeny blue bag, and blue earrings, and even wore matching eyeshadow. She wore her short hair in loose waves and finished off the Cinderella 'fit with some peachy lip gloss. We're going to go ahead and add this to Joey's best looks ever, because it's beyond.
The '80s are back in a big way in the fashion world, with puffed sleeves, satin, and bright colors currently trending. Joey's mini is a great example of how to update the silhouettes of that decade for 2020; while it certainly makes a statement, the dress also feels elegant and modern.
Joey is nominated for a SAG award for her performance as Gypsy Rose Blanchard in The Act. The awards will take place on January 19, and we're ready to be blown away by her ensemble for the occasion — and the rest of this year, for that matter. The actor has become one of our favorite celebrity style stars, and everything she chooses, whether it's on the red carpet or a street style look, is a major vibe.
