Joey King is headed back to Netflix. The Kissing Booth star will appear alongside Zac Efron and Nicole Kidman in an untitled film slated to hit the streaming giant.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film features "a surprising romance kick off comic consequences for a young woman, her mother, and her movie star boss as they face the complications of love, sex, and identity."

Richard LaGravenese, known for his work on The Bridges of Madison County and P.S. I Love You, co-wrote the script and will direct the movie. An official release date has not been confirmed, but THR reported that there's a "late summer start" for production in Atlanta scheduled.

Joey was busy since wrapping the three-part Kissing Booth franchise in August 2021. She's also gearing up to star in the Hulu film The Princess. The movie, which hits the streamer on July 1, follows Joey as she transforms everything we know about royalty and fairy tale romances. Life for the princess takes a devastating turn after she rejects an arranged marriage proposal from a "cruel sociopath" and is banished to a tower hidden in her family's castle. The suitor attempts to overthrow the kingdom, and the princess puts forth her best fight to reclaim her family's place on the throne.

Outside of achieving massive success in her professional life, Joey had a monumental moment in her personal life this year when her boyfriend Steven Piet, who she began dating in 2019, proposed with a dazzling oval-shaped diamond engagement ring in February 2022.
