Joey King Says She Wouldn’t Date Another Actor After Breakup From Jacob Elordi

Joey King has sworn off dating actors after her yearlong relationship with Kissing Booth 2 costar Jacob Elordi—seemingly shutting down new dating rumors in the process.

In a recent interview with Howard Stern, the 21-year-old actor said she doesn't regret her relationship with Elordi. “I think it’s a good thing we dated in the first place. I learned the most I’ve ever learned in my life from him,” King told Stern, per People. However, when asked if she'd ever date another actor again, King replied with a big fat no. 

“I couldn’t,” she said. “I think that it’s awesome to date someone in your field, who gets it, but doing the same exact thing as somebody is tough. It’s really tough.” So much for those rumors that she's dating another Kissing Booth costar Taylor Zakhar Perez.

This isn't all King had to tell Stern about her former boyfriend. On August 6, King tweeted and deleted a response to quotes from Elordi in which he said he still hasn't seen the sequel to their 2018 Netflix hit. "Jacob watched it. He's capping,” she wrote. Basically, she called him a liar.

In the above clip from the interview, you can see Joey King roll her eyes when Stern repeats Elordi's claims. Although she clearly has feelings about his statements, it turns out that she didn't delete the tweet because she regretted the jab at Elordi—in fact, she had his permission to post. 

“I'm happy that we're talking about this,” she said, before explaining that she had heard the term capping on social media, but was called out by a couple of Twitter users for cultural appropriation. “I thought, Oh, I guess this is the new thing. Apparently, it's not. It's something that I should not have used as a white person…. I'm not going to sit here and use a term that's not for me to use.”

“But the tweet was a jovial thing,” King added. “It wasn't to be mean. I know the Kissing Booth fans are always so curious about that tension of sorts, so I was like, ‘I know they’ll appreciate this.’ It was for the fans to be like, ‘Oh my God!’ And they were. I did get his permission to tweet it.”

Cool cool cool…but has he or has he not seen The Kissing Booth 2?! What's the truth?!
