Joey King Discussed What It Was like Reuniting With Jacob Elordi for “The Kissing Booth” 2

Joey King and Jacob Elordi are both confirmed for a return to The Kissing Booth, and with filming on the movie already started, fans only have to wait for its debut. However, if you absolutely can't wait another second for secrets from the set, Joey did share what it was like to reunite with Jacob.

During their time on the set of the first Kissing Booth, Joey and Jacob had started dating. Although neither celeb made the end of their relationship official, fans speculated that social media posts made by the stars seemed to hint at a breakup, and Joey later walked the red carpet with a reported new partner.

Joey explained in an interview on a podcast called Mood with Lauren Elizabeth that reuniting with Jacob for this sequel was beautiful. "I know what everyone wants to know, of course," she said. "And yeah, it was crazy. It was a wild experience, but honestly, it was a really beautiful time because I learned a lot about myself and I grew as an actor, I grew as a person."

She went on to explain that because she appreciates and loves the film, she didn't mind reuniting with someone she once shared a relationship with. "I'm a fan of how it resonated with the world and it resonated with me," she said. "So going back, and doing that, and making the sacrifice, obviously, what everyone is thinking about. I'm not outwardly addressing, but what I'm kinda on the sly addressing, making those sacrifices was totally worth it."

There's no word on a premiere date for the upcoming KB sequel, but fans are hopeful that it will arrive sometime in 2020. In the meantime, we have this adorable video of Jacob announcing his return to tide us over.
