Joey King Deleted Her Tweet About Jacob Elordi Because She Got Called Out For It
Last week, Jacob Elordi told Variety that he hasn't seen The Kissing Booth 2.
Not long after, Joey King tweeted out that Jacob was "capping," and he did actually watch the movie, though she later deleted the tweet.
Now, Joey is explaining why she deleted the tweet about her ex.
Joey King is shedding some light on why she opted to delete her tweet about Jacob Elordi last week. The actress went on The Howard Stern Show and explained the whole situation.
Basically, in an interview with Variety, Jacob claimed that he hadn't seen The Kissing Booth 2. Of course, this got people talking. Joey, though, called out her ex, tweeting that Jacob had, in fact, watched the movie, saying that he was "capping," which is slang for lying.

Joey quickly deleted the tweet, however, and many assumed she did so because she didn't want to get in a feud with her ex. Now, though, Joey is explaining that it had nothing to do with that.
"I heard the term 'capping' on TikTok and Twitter and Instagram and through friends and I was like, 'Oh, I guess this is like the new thing,'" she explained. She then said that she later learned that she "should not have used [the term] as a white person."
"Two accounts on Twitter called me out for it. That's why I deleted it," Joey said. "I'm definitely a person who wants to better myself everyday and so I was like, I'm not going to sit here and use a term that is not for me to use and keep it out there. So I deleted it."
Joey emphasized that she didn't delete the tweet because of Jacob. "People thought [I deleted it] because I was like, 'Oh, no, I shouldn't have said that about him.'" In reality, she revealed that she actually got Jacob's permission before tweeting in the first place.
Of course, that begs the question: was Jacob actually lying when he said he hadn't seen The Kissing Booth 2? Furthermore, why would he let Joey expose him? Honestly, this story is far from over. Personally, I need more info.
