Joey King Calls Out Ex Jacob Elordi for Saying He Didn’t Watch ‘The Kissing Booth 2’

Kissing seems to be a complicated business. Joey King and her ex-boyfriend Jacob Elordi star in Netflix’s latest release, The Kissing Booth 2. The exes started dating while filming the first movie. It’s easy to assume that actors would want to watch their film, but according to Jacob, that’s not the case.

“I haven’t seen it. You’ve seen more than I have,” he said during an interview with Variety. “I don’t know if I’m allowed to say that, but I haven’t.”

Wait, but that’s not even the best part. “Do you like it?” Jacob asked the interviewer, to which she replied, “Yeah, it was cute.” Apparently, he didn’t believe her because then he said, “Be honest.” She finally caved and admitted, “I thought it was better than the first one.” Jacob seemed satisfied with the backhanded compliment, saying, “That’s so kind of you.”

Judging from Jacob’s comments, it seems likely that he wouldn’t watch his own movie. But Joey called BS on her ex. She wrote, “Jacob watched it,” in a since-deleted tweet, according to Us Weekly. “He’s capping.” Okay, if I’m being honest, I had zero clue what “capping” meant. So if you’re like me, Urban Dictionary says it means “lying.” K, that makes sense.

Hmm, who to believe? Joey or Jacob? It would make sense that he didn’t watch it since fans accused him of looking miserable during a Kissing Booth 2 promo. Maybe he’d just rather be filming Euphoria.
