Mark Wahlberg has Joe Rogan’s respect, even though the two have never met. The reason? Those abs though…

Podcast host, comedian, and UFC commentator Joe Rogan had comedian Bert Kreischer on his infamous podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, where the two discussed actor Mark Wahlberg’s dedication to fitness. Specifically, they discussed Wahlberg crushing Dr. Oz in a push-up battle.

But in the midst of the banter, Rogan dropped the fact that he respects Wahlberg as being the real deal. Rogan calls Wahlberg a “very inspirational guy” due to his commitment to the gym.

“When you look at his dedication to fitness, he’s not bullshitting,” Rogan says on the podcast. “He is really up at 5 o’clock in the morning working out like a beast every day.”

Rogan takes it a step further, putting even more respect on Wahlberg’s name. The two have never met, but you wouldn't know it by Rogan's words.

“He’s a legit stud. If you look at his workouts, that guy goes after it,” Rogan adds. “I don’t care what you’re taking, you don’t get built like that unless you work hard. There’s no magic pill. That’s all hard work.”

Though Rogan may have “nothing but respect” for Wahlberg, he does tease the actor a bit by calling him Marky Mark throughout the segment.

“Do you think he gets mad if we call him Marky Mark?” Rogan asks Kreischer, to which he replies, “Definitely.”
