Joe Manganiello's Story About His Chihuahua 'Bubbles' Steals the Show on Jimmy Fallon

We don't know who's the bigger star — Magic Mike's Joe Manganiello or his Chihuahua-Pomeranian mix Bubbles. The actor recently brought her up while appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. And by the looks of it, you don't want to mess with the tiny pup if you can help it.

Most dog owners will tell you – the tinier the dog, the bigger the attitude. Which actually came in handy in the story the actor shared about his pup.

In the footage shared by the late night show, Fallon brought up the dog and mentioned how absolutely cute she was. And it's true! Bubbles is a cutie. But that doesn't mean she's okay with palling around with just anyone.

"She didn't growl at all at me tonight," Fallon said in the clip. "She didn't. She kind of loved me. I think she trusts me because I don't try too hard," he explained.

"Don't make eye contact," Manganiello advised.

"It's so hard because she's just two little eyeballs — she's the cutest dog," he admitted.

She really is! So much so that Manganiello was a little worried for her safety when he took her with him on the trip.

"I was like the exterminator on the island," he explained. But things got really scary when there was a giant spider under the treadmill at the hotel's gym.

"I put Bubbles in a little bassinet when I work out," he explained. So he was downright terrified that the spider would attack his precious Bubbles.

"I know that if I kill something in the jungle, the jungle might retaliate," he explained. And he was really hoping that wouldn't include his little dog.

"I am a humble Chihuahua dad," he joked.

Thankfully, it seems like they made it out okay. But we understand his concern.

Manganiello Shared Bubbles With Ex Sofia Vergara

The Chihuahua-Pomeranian mix has been Manganiello's BFF for well over 10 years now. In fact, Manganiello shared his pup with ex-wife Sofia Vergara. Thankfully things were amicable when they split. Vergara gave Manganiello full custody of the pup without a fight.

"Not in a million years would Joe part ways with his dog Bubbles and Sofía is well aware of this," a source told Page Six back in August 2023.

“Neither one of them is bitter or out for revenge, and Sofía loves Bubbles and wants her to be happy which is precisely why she’s letting Joe have custody," they added.

We guess it's worked out well for everyone. But maybe next time don't bring her to the jungle, Joe.
