It’s official: Joe Manganiello has filed for divorce from Sofía Vergara.

The news comes two days after the former couple confirmed their split, after seven years of marriage.

The Magic Mike star cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce, according to documents obtained by People. Manganiello listed the date of separation as July 2, and noted that he and Vergara have a prenup.

A source close to the situation told the outlet that Manganiello “really wanted to have a baby’ with Vergara, but “she wasn’t interested, and it caused a rift.”

The actors announced their separation on July 17.

“We have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives,” they said in a statement to Page Six.

Meanwhile, a source told the outlet that “Sofía and Joe have been growing apart for a while now and are taking some distance from each other to contemplate their future.”

Vergara has been celebrating her 51st birthday in Italy with a close group of friends—sans Manganiello. Speculation about their breakup began days ago, when fans noticed she had been posting glamorous vacation photos without her wedding ring. The speculation grew when Manganiello shared a notably cold birthday message to his ex, and a blurry photo of the two, on Instagram.

Neither party has directly addressed the split.
