Joe Jonas might just be feeling inspired to revisit the early Jonas Brothers eras — and he has Taylor Swift to thank.

In an interview with BuzzFeed, the singer-songwriter was asked which JoBros song he would re-record if given the chance. Instead of choosing just one track, Joe said he’d pick the group’s entire debut album, It's About Time. “Just do something like what Taylor [Swift] did recently, which I thought was really clever,” he added.

Of course, Joe is referring to Taylor’s ongoing re-releases of her older albums, which kicked off with Fearless (Taylor’s Version) earlier this year. The comment from the JoBros singer is even more poignant when you take into consideration that Joe supposedly inspired a bunch of Fearless tracks and is rumored to be the subject of “Mr. Perfectly Fine” — one of Taylor’s “from the vault” projects. The previously unheard song was an instant hit among fans, and even Sophie Turner loved it, writing on Instagram at the time, “It’s not NOT a bop.”

Joe’s nostalgia for the early days of the Jonas Brothers isn’t all too surprising; after all, the group reunited a few years ago after disappearing from the music scene for nearly half a decade. “We all felt there is a magic when we’re together that we really missed,” Nick Jonas explained in a March 2019 interview with SiriusXM Hits 1. “We wanted to feel that again.”

But for as much as Joe is looking back to the past, he’s also looking ahead to the future, even revealing to BuzzFeed which musical artists he’d love to collaborate with one day. “Olivia Rodrigo is fantastic,” he said. “I think I would love to work with her or Lil Nas X. And why? Because I think they are crushing it and they're authentic artists who are making changes in the music industry, in the pop world, that we all need.” Petition for those collabs to happen immediately, please and thank you!
