Joe Jonas Has Reportedly Retained a Divorce Lawyer Amid Claims He and Sophie Turner Are Heading for a Split

Hours after TMZ reported that Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are heading for divorce, a source tells People that Joe has retained a divorce lawyer. Meanwhile, the couple still hasn't confirmed or denied the news themselves.

In case this is coming as a huge shock to you: TMZ reported this morning (September 3) that they'd spoke to multiple sources who said "Joe had his people contact and consult with at least 2 L.A.-area divorce lawyers and he is on the cusp of filing divorce docs to end his marriage to Sophie." The outlet also claimed that Joe and Sophie have had "serious problems" for the last six months—and pointed out that Joe has occasionally been seen without his ring over the past few weeks.

Fans immediately noted that Joe is wearing his ring in a photo posted to Instagram yesterday—which features him and his brothers enjoying downtime in Texas over the long weekend:

Despite this, TMZ says their sources remain firm that Sophie and Joe's marriage is "circling the drain and on its way to family court in due time."
