As you've probably noticed if you follow either of them at all, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner like to keep their relationship pretty private. Sure, there are the occasional IGs and they do nothing at all to hide how head-over-heels in love with each other they are when they walk red carpets together, but when it comes to actual, intimate details, the couple, who are now married with two kids, have made a conscious decision to keep their protective love bubble very much intact.

Now, Joe has a been a certified Famous Person for many years now (fun/guaranteed to make you feel incredibly old fact: The Jonas Brothers started their rise to Disney stardom/Tiger Beat dominance in 2005, aka literally 17 years ago. If the Jonas Brothers' fame was a person, it would be a senior in high school rn) and he dated several other certified Famous People before meeting his now-wife. Joe admits he wasn't as protective of privacy in all of his past 'ships, but he took a different approach with Sophie.

"I want to feel like an open book," he explained in a new interview with Mr. Porter (per People). "But when [Sophie and I] started dating, I realized that I didn't have a ton of stuff that was just for me. And in the end, it makes me a better person to have something for myself."

Oh, and it also helps him avoid the colossal drama storm that can come with being in a headline-making celeb 'ship. Joe even apparently cited Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde's very widely-reported on romance and all the Don't Worry Darling drama surrounding it as an example of the kind of situation that he's actively avoiding these days.

"There have been a lot of situations in my career where, like [Harry Styles], a small thing has been blown out of proportion," Joe said. "It's had this trickling effect, which is partially why I decided to take a mental health break from social media. Now I'm addicted to not knowing what's going on."

Annnnnd once again the key to balancing mental health and social media seems to be less social media.
