Joe Alwyn Complimented Taylor Swift Then Awkwardly Dashed Out of an Interview
The times, they are a-changin'! As of just a couple of weeks ago, Taylor Swift started sharing her political views with her followers–something that she's purposefully refrained from doing before–and her beau/ The Favourite actor Joe Alwyn never really talked about her or their relationship in interviews. Until now, that is.
Joe's reasoning was to keep their private life private, but he's really just kept everyone guessing in the process. Joe is notorious for shutting down interviewers when they bring up him and T-Swift (remember when he said, "I really prefer to talk about work"?), but while promoting his new movie, he finally gave Joe-Taylor shippers something to obsess over.
When a reporter asked him what he thinks about Taylor encouraging her fans to vote and sharing what names she'll be ticking on the ballot next month, Joe kindly said, "I think it's great, I think it's important." Sweet! But it was also extremely awkward because as he was talking, he was backing away and trying to dash out of the interview.
Interviewer: What did you make of Taylor Swift, all of her tweets and everything have been going out, in terms of her political stance, we haven't really seen that before?

Obviously it seemed like he was leaving so he wouldn't have to field anymore questions about Taylor, but, to be fair to Joe, he might have had a whole line of other interviews to get through and had to go.
But clearly October is a major turning point for the two and maybe their fans will get more insight into their lives, beliefs, and relationship. Now can they please do a joint video à la Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott for everyone to marvel at? TYVM!
