Jodie Sweetin’s Favorite Christmas Tradition Sounds Like It’s From an Episode of ‘Full House’

From Country Living

It's officially November, which means Halloween is over and it's time to start the coziest season of all: Christmas. And yes, while we love you Thanksgiving, November also means the start of Hallmark Christmas movies (yep, all 40 of 'em) and you all know there's nothing better than that.

The network kicked off the 10th anniversary of their "Countdown to Christmas" celebration last weekend with the premiere of Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses and continues this weekend with "Merry and Bright," led by Jodie Sweetin.

The Fuller House actress and mom of two is no stranger to Hallmark Christmas movies: She previously starred in Entertaining Christmas and Finding Santa.

Ahead of the premiere of Merry and Bright, we sat down with the 37-year-old star to learn a little bit more about her Christmas traditions (she has two trees!) and what gift she's hoping to open on Christmas morning.

What's your Christmas drink of choice? "When it comes to holiday beverages, egg nog is my favorite."

Favorite holiday tradition? "We open up new pajamas on Christmas Eve. My mom has always done it for me and I carry it on with my girls."

The one dessert you must have? "My must-have sweet is my mom's special chocolate peanut candy. It isn't the holidays until I've eaten way too much of that."

Most sentimental ornament? "My girls' baby ornaments from their first Christmases are my favorites."

Favorite Christmas song? "I love 'Silent Night'—there's something beautifully peaceful about the song and the melody. I always stop to listen to it."

How many trees are in your house? I have two Christmas trees: one in my front window with red and green glass ornaments, and one in my family room with all of our sentimental ornaments. That's the one we look at the most!

Gift you want on Christmas morning? Tamales! The best food gift is Tamales!
