'Sweet Magnolias' Star JoAnna Garcia Swisher Shares Stunning Bikini Selfie

JoAnna Garcia Swisher’s Sweet Magnolias character, Maddie Townsend, may be returning to Serenity, but the actress herself has jetted off to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, for a much-deserved vacation.
As the third season of the romance drama hit Netflix on July 20, the 43-year-old actress took the sunny beaches with a group of gal pals, including Stacy Keibler, Walker star Odette Annable, and Sopranos’ Jamie-Lynn Sigler, according to People.
The former Reba actress then took to her Instagram profile to share a photo from her tropical vacation as she rocked a brown textured bikini, her toned abs on display.
The selfie-style photo also revealed her auburn hair gently blowing in the wind, as she accessorized with gold sunnies, a dainty silver necklace, and chunky gold earrings.
“Heart full 🫶🏼 Sending love out to all of you ❤️,” she wrote in the caption, likely referencing both the new season and her getaway with her good friends.
Sigler took to the comments writing, “How sweet it is to be loved by you ❤️” as Keibler noted, “Hot Momma!!! 🔥🔥” and fellow actress Brittany Snow added, “Hi hello I love u You’re pretty.”
Even Garcia Swisher’s husband, Nick Swisher, chimed in with “Hey gurl!!🔥🔥🔥.”
The actress and the former professional baseball outfielder, who tied the knot in 2010, share two daughters together—Emerson, 9, and Sailor, 6.

Plenty of other comments shared their excitement for the upcoming season with fans noting they are looking forward to watching all 10 episodes.
During a previous chat with US Weekly earlier this year, Garcia Swisher revealed how her daughters have handled seeing their mom kiss on-screen love interest Cal Maddox, played by Justin Bruening in the Netflix adaptation series.
"It doesn’t confuse them,” she said of their reactions, adding, “Especially with Justin [Bruening] on Sweet Magnolias, they know Justin and his family and his wife so much. So we’ve kind of explained it in that way.”
Bruening and wife Alexa Havins have been married since 2005 and share 12-year-old daughter Lexington.
However, she noted that they aren’t “super excited about it” either, stating, “They’re not like, ‘Oh, that’s so fun to see, Mom,’ but they get it. They totally understand it. It doesn’t traumatize them—at least I don’t think.”
Sweet Magnolias is a love story about three best friends—Townsend’s Maddie, Brooke Elliot’s Dana Sue Sullivan, and Heather Headley’s character Helen Decatur—and their commitment to their small town.
