Joanna Gaines' New Book Has the Most Powerful Message About Acceptance
Joanna Gaines just announced her latest project—a new children's book about celebrating our differences and taking care of one another.
The book is officially due out in November but you can pre-order it now through the Magnolia website.
Joanna Gaines has a message for children everywhere: You're perfect just the way you are!
The Magnolia mogul and mother of five took to her Instagram on Tuesday to announce her new children's book, The World Needs Who You Were Made to Be, which is all about celebrating the things that make you unique and loving yourself for exactly who you are.
"I wanted my new children’s book to say the very thing that I needed to hear as a kid, and that I want my kids to hear and know deep in their bones, and that I hope your kids will hear and believe, too: The world needs who you were made to be—with all of the kindness and strength and unique qualities that make you who you are," she captioned a photo of the book's adorable cover, which features children floating in colorful hot air balloons.

While the book is not due out until November, you can pre-order it now through the Magnolia website, Amazon, and many other book retailers.
In The World Needs Who You Were Made to Be, Joanna tells the story of a group of children who work together to build their own hot air balloons, and learn about their special talents along the way.
With vibrant illustrations by Julianna Swaney, the book features empowering lines like, “You’re one of a kind, and it’s so clear to see: The world needs who you were made to be.”
Joanna is already a bestselling author with five titles to her name, including her 2019 children’s book, We Are the Gardeners.
She shares five children with her husband, Chip Gaines: sons Drake, 15, Duke, 11, and Crew, 1, and daughters Ella, 13, and Emmie, 10 — all of whom she credits with inspiring her latest book.
"One of my greatest joys as a mother has been to watch them grow and change and become who they are," Joanna wrote in a new post on her Magnolia blog. "And, between the five of them, they are all becoming very different people—in their likes and dislikes, in how they approach situations, in how they solve problems, and simply in how they go about their day to day. My hope is for each of them to know, deep in their bones, that who they are is good, and that the differences that they see in each other and in themselves are to be celebrated."
