At 90 years old, Joan Collins has a remarkably youthful appearance, leading fans to speculate whether she's had cosmetic work done. But in a new interview with The Guardian, the iconic actress revealed that her looks are all natural.

When interviewer Simon Hattenstone marveled over her "perfect complexion," the Dynasty alum confirmed, "I've had nothing done. I couldn't do all that," she said.

She then explained why she's never opted to receive Botox or any other anti-aging treatments, noting, "First of all, I'm needle-phobic. It was my mother who told me to moisturise and use night cream. I told my two girls and both of them have fabulous skin. And stay out of the sun."

However, despite having great genes that have kept her looking stunning throughout her lengthy career, Collins shared that her looks were commented on negatively in the industry.

"They had all sorts of horrible names for me in the makeup department," she recalled. "They called me Moonface because I had a lot of baby fat, and Spindly Legs because I had scrawny legs. The makeup department was huge, and all these women were mean and hard. They were to me, anyway."

Elsewhere in the chat, Collins spoke about another blessing she was born with: "The happy gene."

"I'm so lucky to have that," she said. The nonagenarian detailed challenges that have threatened her innate, joyful outlook, such as her youngest daughter having a "terrible accident," being sued by Random House as well as having all husbands—except Tony Newley—sue her, and being embezzled by business managers and exes. But her happy gene "remains intact."
