Here on the Cosmo Fashion Desk, it goes without saying we *love* a red carpet event. Sure, spotting celebrities out in the wild provides more wearable street style inspo for us to attempt to recreate. But seeing our favourite stars pull out all the stops for a big night out, from the Oscars to the Met Gala, is peak fashun.

On Saturday night we were treated to one of the glitziest events in the A List's social calendar, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (or LACMA) Art and Film Gala. Hosted by Leonardo DiCaprio and sponsored by Gucci, we would kill for an invite. Especially when the guest list includes Billie Eilish, A$AP Rocky, Lupita Nyong'o, and Pedro Pascal.

Of course, everyone stunned in trend-led looks. Kim Kardashian was a Barbiecore bride in a hot pink gown with the longest train. Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez nailed the underwear as outerwear look.

JLo's gown was natch Gucci. And, as well as the see-through sequin embellished lace skirt revealing the nude high-waisted knickers she had on underneath, the gown's bodice was basically just a bronze bra top. Talk about a literal take. A thigh-high slit in the floor-sweeping design finished the daring look.

Jen added nude platform heels and held a champagne satin envelope clutch bag in her hand. Opting for 'more is more', she didn't hold back with her jewellery. A gold and jewelled necklace with a *huge* red jewel pendant hung around her neck, with a gold cuff, matching cocktail ring, and drop earrings completing the 'fit.

Other celebs vying for best dressed on the night included Salma Hayek, who got the metallics memo. The actress paired her gold sequinned gown with a silver handbag. Jodie Turner-Smith chose a similarly daring look in her black maxi skirt that had a super high leg slit, paired with a teeny tiny crystal crop top.
