Take an Official Look at the New JJJJound x adidas Samba

In December last year, JJJJound unveiled its latest team-up with adidas on one of the sportswear brand's hottest silhouettes of 2023 -- the Samba. Adding to its impressive roster of collaborations, which recently included the New Balance 990v3 and 991, the new iteration is a minimal sneakerhead's dream, drawing on the classic heritage of both brands.

The Samba has become a highly coveted sneaker over the past few years, with Lyst naming it 2023's shoe of the year and adidas building on the hype by releasing collabs with Pharrell Williams on a Humanrace-branded iteration, in addition to drops with names like Grace Wales Bonner.

First teased in November 2022 in two colorways, the new silhouette was unveiled in an official "Off-White/Core Black/Gum" colorway in December. Almost identical to the OG adidas silhouette, the JJJJound iteration boasts subtle details like an eggshell-toned leather upper, gold tone on the leather collar lining and "JJJJound" branding in place of the typical gold foil adidas text.

Elsewhere in footwear, adidas has designed a new version of the Forum Low inspired by the Grinch while the Pharrell Williams x adidas Hu NMD has returned in "Grey."
