JJ Watt’s Baby Boy Is in ‘Beast Mode’ at the Gym With His Dad & It’s Too Cute for Words

Retired NFL player JJ Watt is a big man. So much so, that fans couldn’t help but laugh and call it “overkill” when he wore a Mr. Incredible costume with fake muscles for Halloween. Because the former defensive end has plenty of real muscles that help pull off the look.

Of course, maintaining the Mr. Incredible physique requires plenty of real time in the gym and a reliable gym partner. Watt posted a video on Instagram of him and his 1-year-old son Koa in what looks to be their home gym. Through unexplained huffs and puffs, he tells his little guy to go get his weights — “Get KoKo’s weights!” Koa eventually ambles over to the weight rack where there are little rubber tubes (20 bucks to whichever gym rat can tell us what those are!) that the cutie easily lifts up and throws back down.

“You do squats?” Watt asked. “Down, up. Down, up.” To which Koa happily obliged, smiling ear-to-ear while following his dad’s instructions.

All of that was clearly too simple though, because Koa soon walked over to, and reached for, the 45-lb weight plates.

“One year old and already telling me to kick rocks,” Watt captioned the post. “He doesn’t want the baby weights, he wants the big dogs 😂”

“and yes,” he soon added in the comments, “I know I’m breathing like I just got done climbing 650 flights of stairs. Deal with it.”

Followers were so impressed with the little “beast’s” strength and work ethic. Doesn’t seem like he’ll be missing a workout or an opportunity to level up any time soon.

Watt and his wife Kealia marked Koa’s first birthday back in October with sweet tributes on Instagram. “I don’t know how the time passed so quickly but it’s been the best year of our lives with sweet Koa bear💙,” Kealia captioned her post, with Watt soon responding, “Happiness we never knew was possible. ❤️💙.”
