Jimmy Fallon's Attempt to Get Dog to 'Give Him CPR' Goes Adorably Wrong

Whether or not you're a fan of late night talk shows, it's always worth turning on the TV (or checking in on TikTok the next day) whenever an animal is featured on a show. Animal experts like Robert Irwin have brought furry, feathered, and scaly friends to shows more times than we can count, and Jimmy Fallon's The Tonight Show even dedicates an entire segment to talented dogs. What's not to love?

During the November 20 version of Fallon's show, one enthusiastic German Shepherd attempts to prove her CPR skills to everyone. But amid all the excitement, the excited dog's trick didn't go quite to plan! Even so, everyone was laughing.

LMAO! Sadie the German Shepherd is one stunning dog, but oh boy, did she shake things up on stage. It was completely unexpected! We can only imagine how Sadie's mom feels after her dog's trick completely backfired, but we hope she takes comfort in knowing that literally everyone was laughing. Including Jimmy!

"I feel her frustration of your dog embarrassing you whenever trying to show off their trick," empathized commenter @lopexanna. We know exactly what you mean! Practicing obedience training with a German Shepherd can be easier to do at home, where there are fewer distractions.

Being on stage in such a busy studio may have been overstimulating for Sadie--or she may have just been focused on the treat in the talk show host's hand! She made a beeline straight for the ham, and she only offered a CPR 'push' when she tried asking for more snacks. Maybe it would've worked better if Jimmy wasn't holding the dog treat!

Even so, it was so much fun to get a glimpse of Sadie's excitable energy and sweet, fun-loving soul. She can keep practicing her canine CPR, but she doesn't need to work on her energy one bit!
