Every year is marked by the unique food trends that take on lives of their own. In 2020, things like sourdough bread and Dalgona coffee had their time to shine and there's no doubt 2021 will be full of all new viral recipes and food products. Personally, I predict an influx of people experimenting with the flexitarian lifestyle, and grocery store items like Jimmy Dean's new plant-based breakfast sandwiches will make that switch even easier.

To make mornings a breeze (whether you're flexitarian or not, TBH), Jimmy Dean is releasing two new plant-based patty sandwiches that guarantee the same deliciously seasoned taste fans love from their products. The Plant-Based Patty Egg & Cheese Croissant includes a patty made of soy protein and egg whites along with American cheese and whole eggs all served between a flaky croissant.

The Plant-Based Patty & Frittata Sandwich features a veggie and grain patty made of soy protein, black beans, brown rice, quinoa, and egg whites, and it is topped with a spinach and egg white frittata, American cheese, all on a whole wheat English muffin. The croissant sandwich will start rolling out in stores now and the frittata sandwich will hit shelves this spring.

To help fans try it out ASAP, Jimmy Dean is also offering the chance to win the new sandwiches in the form of a year-long Sam’s Club Savings membership gift card, as well as a $20 gift card to purchase the new sandwich. To enter, just tag @JimmyDean on Twitter and use the hashtags #JDPlantBasedPatty and #sweepstakes to share how Jimmy Dean breakfast helps you start your day. Win-win-win, in my opinion.
