Jim Carrey May Consider Doing 'Ace Ventura 3' but Only if Directed by Christopher Nolan

Earlier this month, Jim Carrey announced that his contemplating retirement. The 60-year-old actor is considering making Sonic the Hedgehog 2 his final project, however, he can revealed that he could potentially be swayed.
Speaking in a new interview with E! News Daily Pop, Carrey shut down future ideas of reprising his old roles. Though that is the case, he did tease fans that he will consider returning for Ace Ventura 3 under one condition,
"I think after the fact, when there's been a lot of years, unless some genius person, director, auteur comes to you with a completely new take on what's going on, you know. If Chris Nolan came to me and said 'I want to make Ace Ventura real and I want to do something, you know, something more interesting'...then I might listen.
But for the most part, you know, after a certain time there's not one cell in your body that is that person anymore so you end up just imitating what you did in the old days and the original inspiration isn't there."
His comments come after it reports of an Ace Ventura sequel would be written by the team behind Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Last year Collider reported that the third installment of the franchise was in the works, "Ace Ventura will see a new day at Amazon as a major motion-picture/theatrical with the Sonic The Hedgehog writers." There is still no confirmation of whether or not Carrey will be attached to the project. Carrey starred in the first two films, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994) and Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls (1995).
Elsewhere in entertainment, Brie Larson has joined Fast and Furious 10.
