Jet Set To The Festival Of Flavors In Style

Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts boasts an impressive portfolio of more than 30 iconic properties on multiple continents, and the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal debuted as their first location in Mexico. Riding on the energy of the successful programming in 2022, the return of The Festival of Flavors has already produced two magical weekends earlier this year. Lucky for us there is still one more jet set opportunity before the new year to experience the gastronomic brilliance! The culinary weekends series invites some of the world’s most acclaimed Michelin star-honored chefs, each of whom have deep roots in Mexican flavors and culinary traditions. Executive Chef Gustavo Pinet along with the resort’s impressive culinary team collaborate with each guest chef to create an intimate three-day culinary extravaganza. From November 9-12, 2023, Chef Enrique Casarrubias is welcomed; only the second Mexican Chef ever to obtain a Michelin star in France. Chef Casarrubias joins from his esteemed restaurant Oxte, just steps from the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. He mixes traditional flavors from his childhood growing up in Mexico with French techniques resulting in an inspiring flavor palate that will have you ready for your next sip of wine or agave-based spirit.

The property’s signature restaurant, Don Manuels, recently went through a redesign and re-opened with the debut of TRAVESÍA, a nine-course tasting menu all surrounding the beloved taco, Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal will continue to build upon its roster of world-class gastronomic and authentic Mexican offerings with the debut of The Wine Cellar at Don Manuel’s and expansion of the resort’s Private Pedregal Collection of wines.

  • The Wine Cellar at Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal: Designed by Paul Duesing Partners and curated by the resort’s Wine Director Jhonatan Adame, The Wine Cellar at Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal is home to the second-largest wine collection in all of Mexico. Filled with over 3,500 bottles and 450 labels – divided into both New and Old World wine – the cellar maintains independent temperatures for both red and white varieties, exclusively customized for the resort, alongside a unique anti-fogging system unlike any other in the world. Ideal for wine connoisseurs and culinary tastemakers, the resort’s impressive collection is also available for private tastings and wine-paired dinners.

  • Private Pedregal Collection: In partnership with leading Mexican winery Don Leo, Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal will expand its Private Pedregal Collection of exclusive wines with the addition of three new varietals including a Rosé, Pinot Noir, and a Red Blend. Led by Wine Director Jhonatan Adame, these new varietals will join the existing two wines in the Private Pedregal Collection that the property previously created in partnership with Roganto, one of Mexico’s most awarded and recognized boutique wineries. Making their debut later this year are two more special varietals from Italy, created exclusively for the resort with BORTOLOMIOL, producers of Prosecco Superiore DOCG in the famed village of Valdobbiadene.
