Jessie James Decker Shares the Sweet Inspiration Behind the Nursery for Baby Number 4

Jessie James Decker is currently very pregnant with her fourth baby with husband and former NFL player Eric Decker. We are expecting the newest addition to the Decker family any day now, and we can't help but already be a little jealous of the adorable nursery he will come home to. Jessie and Eric are already doting parents to Vivianne Rose (9), Eric 'Bobby' Thomas II (8) and Forrest Bradley (5), and now they're preparing to welcome their last baby (for real this time), another boy.

"I said we were done done done and I did feel that way, but I would also say there was always a little something in the back of my head going maybe not. Maybe there's one more in there and now that we're about to have a fourth I don't have that question in my mind anymore, so it's kind of nice to really officially close that chapter. I feel really good about it," Jessie James Decker told Country Living.

In preparation for her baby's arrival, Decker had to start from scratch with her nursery and baby supplies with almost a six-year age gap between Forrest and the last baby Decker. "I had nothing. I literally had nothing. I had given everything away to either family, relatives, friends, or I donated it. We were completely out of the baby phase. I don't even think I had a diaper in this house, because Forrest is almost 6, we're out of it," Decker admitted. Though this gave Decker the opportunity to design a completely new nursery in their Nashville home especially for the new arrival.

Decker partnered with Crate&kids to create her dream nursery inspired by their former home state of Colorado. All three of Decker's other children were born in Colorado, but with their lives now in Nashville she opted to stay put for her final birth. "Colorado is such an important place to me and my family. You know, it's where Eric and I fell in love and got our first dogs and got married and had all of our babies. So, I just felt like this baby won't be able to be born in Colorado, so I thought about bringing Colorado to him so he can still kind of be a part of that special tradition that we've had all these years with Colorado. So, I wanted the mountains and I wanted the nature and I wanted the bears," Decker explained.

The Colorado theme shines through in the nursery with a green and terracotta color scheme, paintings of mountain scenes and woodland creatures featured throughout the room. Jessie James added a personal touch with a painting she made years ago, which perfectly matches her olive green crib, terracotta rug and green rocking chair. "Even before Eric and I were married, when we were living together in Colorado I used to paint all the time, and I painted this really beautiful piece of snow and mountains and the evergreen trees... it's kind of wild it's very full circle, the colors could not match more beautifully," she described.

Decorating the nursery has been one of the big ways Decker's three other children have been involved with preparing for their new baby brother. "I think watching them be so aware and excited just warms my heart. It makes me feel more like we're all a part of this together, because they've been so helpful and they keep helping me organize the baby room," Decker gushed. Of course, the entire Decker family is excited to meet their newest addition and trying to predict what he will look like, as are we! That beautiful nursery won't be empty for much longer!
