Ever since Channing Tatum began dating Jessie J a few weeks ago (the two even went Instagram official this week), the internet has been busy comparing Jessie to Channing's ex wife, Jenna Dewan.

Jenna lightly addressed the comparisons with an insta comment a few days ago, posting "positive vibes all the way," but clearly being pit again Jenna was getting to Jessie, because she just shared a long, emotional message about how she would like people to stop already, thankyouverymuch. The singer wrote:

I rarely, but sometimes see that my name is involved in stories online that I do not agree to. I often ignore them as 99% of the time it is something that doesn’t serve any positivity to speak on.

However there is a story I have seen be rewritten over and over again in the past few weeks that talks about myself compared directly to another beautiful woman regarding our looks and people picking who they think is prettier.

I am here to talk about the headline and the way the story has been written, I have continuously tried to find something positive from this article…I am yet to.

Who feels good from this story? I know I don't.

...You only have to look at a few of the comment to see that these stories are not inspiring women support women but mostly women ripping other women down. I am so disappointed and embarrassed that my name is even involved. It's not something I stand for, at all.

I spent so much of my childhood trying to be comfortable in my skin just like so many other little girls, and when I got older, decided to spend my career making lots of music to try and help / inspire myself and all other women to see their beauty from the inside out and will continue to do so. Man does the world need it. More now than ever.

...I am a woman that supports ALL women. I am a woman that loves ALL women and will not stand quietly when the media is teach young girls to constantly compare one another. Or to pick who they think is prettier.

...Be sensitive with your words. Be kind with your words. You have no idea what they can to do someone. Alone ladies, we are strong. But TOGETHER?! US WOMEN can truly CHANGE THE WORLD ❤️

Even though Jenna's name wasn't explicitly mentioned, the message was clearly referring to her-and Jenna even took to Instagram herself to praise Jessie's post. She wrote:

Amen Jessie! Yes!!!! Women for women all the way. No need for negativity. Let's live in a world where we support each other and raise each other up. Like i said before, positive vibes all the way. Nothing but respect ❤️

So it looks like if Jenna and Jessie can get over the fact that they both have short brown hair and a romantic interest in the same man, then the internet should be able to as well. Also, this whole women-being-pit-against-other-women thing is some sexist bullshit. Have you seen ONE article comparing Channing to Jenna's new BF Steve Kazee? Didn't think so.
