Jessica Simpson posts family selfie and 'touching' tribute for her mom: 'Hero status'

Jessica Simpson is showing her mother some love.

On Sunday, the 42-year-old took to Instagram to share a photo alongside her mother, Tina, 63, and her sister, Ashlee, 38.

The women sat around a table and stared at the camera, flashing their million-dollar smiles while wearing fashionable outfits that showed off their personalities.

In the snap, the trio appeared to be celebrating Tina's birthday, which took place on Jan. 18.

In the caption, the fashion designer and entrepreneur paid tribute to her mother and opened up about her "unwavering strength."

"We are because she is … Thank you mom for living 62 years of life to the very fullest. You inspire unwavering strength and determination with the purest of hearts. Hero status, indeed," she wrote to her 6.2 million followers.

The mother-of-three went on to explain that her family had been "celebrating" Tina for the past week.

"We had a beautiful week celebrating our mom — the natural born small and mighty! May God bless you abundantly! Lovin’ you is one of life’s greatest treasures!" she concluded.

In the comments, fans loved the "beautiful" caption and gushed over how "ageless" Tina looks.

"This is so touching! What a beautiful message about your mother. Happy birthday to her!" commented a follower.

"That's your mom!? She's so ageless! Y'all are stunning," shared someone else.

"Gorgeous! The apple doesn't fall far from the tree!" added another.

This isn't the first time that the "With You" singer has released a stunning family selfie.

In December, Simpson shared a series of fun-loving photos with her husband, Eric Johnson, and their three children, Birdie, 3, Ace, 9 and Maxwell, 10.

To take the festive snaps, the actress opted for red lipstick and oversized sunglasses. She paired the look with a faux-fur coat, black leather leggings, black lace-up combat boots and a large leather tote bag.

"You look so happy!" wrote a fan in the caption, while another added, "I’m obsessed with this jacket and you look fabulous!"
