Jessica Simpson is all smiles on her birthday.

The "Irresistible" singer gifted fans a fresh-faced selfie in honor of her big day on July 10 and they had a lot to say about it.

The 43-year-old birthday girl posed for the new picture wearing a vibrant red top, a pair of silver hoop earrings, and a geometric crystal necklace. Styling her hair back and out of her face, she basked in the glow of the sun and made sure to smile big for the camera.

"43 makeup free (kinda. Ha. I did curl my lashes) 🦀♋️🤍🤍🤍," she joked in the caption of the post, which was shared to her Instagram grid on her name day.

Fans wasted no time sharing their thoughts about her birthday look in the comments.

"HAPPY BORNDAY JESSICA!" fellow pop sensation Kelly Rowland exclaimed.

"You've never needed makeup. Beautiful as always, Happy Birthday!" one fan cheered.

"Need your skincare routine, you are 🔥❤️ HBD 🎉," someone else pleaded.

A fourth wrote, "Happy Birthday queen Jessica!!! Everything about you is still Irresistible 💖👑 @jessicasimpson."

But with the praise also came come critiques–especially from those who believe Simpson may have been deceiving the public with her claim about not wearing any makeup.

"Mascara… concealer & lipstick isn’t makeup free 🥳," one top comment read.

"Hmm not quite makeup free," another suggested.

"Beautiful but not make up free," a different critic noted. "Mascara, lipgloss and concealer is not make up free."

Another Instagram user shared, "Makeup free… but eyebrows shaded in, lipgloss and mascara… sure 😂."

Her birthday selfie comes just days after the mother of three denied using the polarizing weight-loss drug Ozempic.

When asked about the comments in a profile with Bustle, the fashion mogul said, "Oh Lord. I mean, it is not [Ozempic], it's willpower. I'm like, do people want me to be drinking again? Because that's when I was heavier. Or they want me to be having another baby? My body can't do it."

"Am I going to let the negativity derail me? No, I'm too old for that. I am too connected to myself right now to let that derail me," she concluded. "It doesn't mean that it doesn't hurt."
