Jessica Pegula and Her Husband, Taylor Gahagen, Are a Very Private Couple

This U.S. Open, American tennis fans are cheering on Jessica Pegula, the top-ranked American women's player at the tournament. Pegula, the daughter of Buffalo Bills owners Kim and Terry Pegula, is pretty private about her personal life, but her husband, Taylor Gahagen, is a steadfast supporter.
Here's everything you need to know about Pegula's husband.
He's from Buffalo, New York.
Gahagen was raised in Williamsville, New York, a suburb of Buffalo. He later attended SUNY Fredonia, graduating in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. During college, he played baseball, as an infielder, and after, he completed a M.B.A. at Canisius College. While at Canisius, per his LinkedIn, he also worked as a hockey graduate assistant.
Gahagen worked for Pegula Sports and Entertainment.
He was involved in Harborcenter, a Buffalo development initiative spearheaded by the Peguals. As SUNY Fredonia noted in 2014, "Business and community leaders across Western New York believe it will be the single biggest tourism attraction the region has seen in decades — and...Taylor Gahagen, ’11 [is] among those leading the charge to bring an estimated 500,000 visitors to Buffalo annually."
He held other positions for the company, saying in 2016, "I don't think there’s anywhere else I would want to work. It’s so exciting. I think everybody’s talked about the opportunity in the area and the opportunity for Buffalo and the pride of Buffalo is bar none. Raising the profile of Buffalo on a national, international, global scale is what’s most exciting."
According to his LinkedIn, he stopped working there in 2023.
It's unclear when Gahagen and Pegula started dating.
The two likely began dating in 2015, or thereabouts. His first appearance on her Instagram is in 2016, when they saw Hamilton together:
Gahagen is now involved in her businesses, as a Vice President for her skincare company, Ready 24, and President of A Lending Paw, a charity that trains rescue dogs to become service animals. As Pegula told Vogue, "We wanted to help people afford service dogs. Not only is that about dogs helping people, it’s about people helping dogs, because we only work with rescues. It goes both ways."
They married in October 2021 in North Carolina.
Gahagen and Pegula were initially supposed to get married in October 2020, but postponed due to the pandemic. They tied the knot at the Biltmore Estate in North Caroline, with many of Pegula's tennis pals in attendance.
As big dog lovers, their pups were part of their wedding ceremony, as seen by Pegula's mom's Instagram from the day:
They later honeymooned in Costa Rica during summer 2022. "It was amazing, it was so much fun. We want to go back so bad. It was just the best experience. The people, the food, the lifestyle was so much fun," she told the WTA.
