Ever since the first season of The Sinner we've been pretty Jessica-Biel obsessed. Especially if she's starring in crime thrillers. So, her upcoming crime drama Candy, couldn't be more up our street.
The drama follows Candy Montgomery, a housewife and mother in 1980s America who killed her best friend Betty Gore after she discovered the pair were having an affair. It's got real Dirty John: Betty Broderick vibes. Plus, Jessica Biel seems to have undergone some kind of NSYNC-esque transformation for the role, which is truly something to behold.

What is Candy about?
Okay, so this is where the whole thing gets a little more nuanced (and very Betty B). The official synopsis reads:
"Candy Montgomery is a 1980 housewife and mother who did everything right—good husband, two kids, nice house, even the careful planning and execution of transgressions—but when the pressure of conformity builds within her, her actions scream for just a bit of freedom. With deadly results."
Who has been cast in Candy?
Jessica Biel stars in the lead role as Candy Montgomery and in actual fact, she's undergone a bit of a wild hair transformation for the part. It is meant to be the 80s, after all. In order to the play the part she swapped her (glorious) beach waves for some short, tight and yellow blonde curls. Which might remind you of someone...
Speaking during a recent interview Biel confirmed what we were all thinking, that her new do looked just like the hair her husband Justin Timberlake used to have back in his NSYNC days.
"We laughed about it because it looked like the early days of those beautiful curls," she told Entertainment Tonight. "Let's get serious, he had beautiful curls."
Alongside Biel the series is set to star Melanie Lynskey as Betty Gore, Timothy Simons as Pat Montgomery and Pablo Schreiber as Alan Gore.

When can we expect Candy to be released?
Candy is currently set for US release on 9th May on Hulu, and while we don't currently have a UK released date it's likely to show will head across the pond soon after.
