Welcome to The Blueprint, where we break down the celebrity looks we want to wear right now and build them back up, piece by piece.

Do you know why today is an absolutely fantastic day? I just saw Jessica Alba’s outfit, and it’s like it was made for — erm, four —  me.

Last week, the Fantastic Four actress wore my favorite spring look: On top, she broke out a blue and white striped button-up shirt from Gerard Darel, which is a brand that Sarah Jessica Parker wore this winter and Kate Hudson and Taylor Swift have carried bags from. And for the bottom half, she opted for breezy white pants and matching sneakers, plus a blue bag for a color-coordinated look head-to-toe.

As someone who burns easily, I still think it’s important to cover up in the spring and summer — but in specific ways. Button-ups are nice because I can roll up the sleeves or wear them unbuttoned with a cami underneath while still protecting my skin, without feeling, well, too buttoned up. I love a good pair of shorts, but they’re more of a right-place, right-time thing, whereas pants, especially comfy ones, can be worn anywhere.

If you want Alba’s exact button-up, be prepared to shell out $285. Unfortunately, I’m not up for that — but I am up for this similar option from Omsj. The pattern is a bit bolder like the ones Meghan Markle and Oprah once wore, but the color scheme follows Alba’s blueprint. And the model even shows it tied like hers, so rest assured, you can recreate the look.

Urban CoCo Wide-Leg Palazzo Lounge Pants

If I’m just sitting outside in my backyard all day, I’d definitely choose these palazzo pants, which are “so soft” and “heavenly on your skin,” according to one shopper. They have that flowy wide-leg fit that celebs like Zendaya and Martha Stewart are choosing over tighter bottoms, and they come in 20 colors. But if I need something more trouser-like, these $40 ones from Tronjori are very much alike, just with a bit more shape.

While I ditched my white sneakers for colorful shoes for a hot second, I always find my way back to them — if that doesn’t speak to their classic nature, I’m not sure what does. Also, celebrities wear them, and this pair is 50 percent off now.

I’m officially all about Jessica Alba’s spring style. Keep scrolling to shop more shirts, pants, and sneakers inspired by her now.
