Jessica Alba Goes Back-to-School Shopping for Charity

Mom-bassador and all-around girl crush Jessica Alba is no stranger to a good cause. Her own Honest Company creates natural and safe products for babies and adults, and now she’s teaming up with Staples to donate five massive scholarships to kids.

As the face of the Staples for Students campaign in partnership with DonorsChoose, Alba is raising awareness for the cause. By shopping at Staples from now until September 15, anyone who spends $25 or more and enters the code from their receipt on the Staples site will be entered to win a $50,000 scholarship or one of four $25,000 scholarships. Shoppers can also donate supplies or cash to local teachers for classroom projects, and Staples will match their donations.

Alba’s already got plenty of back-to-school shopping to do. Her two daughters, Honor, going into fifth grade, and Haven, second grade, are gearing up to hit the books. Alba also has a 7-month-old son named Hayes, but he’s still got some time before he’s gotta stock up on pencils.

As if we didn’t enjoy the thrill of new notebooks and zipper bags enough already, now we can feel warm and fuzzy about it, too.
