It was a mini Modern Family reunion at the Valley International Preparatory High School this weekend!

Jesse Tyler Ferguson, 48, paid a visit to the California school to support Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, 16, who was starring in a production of The Burn. In case you're unaware, the 16-year-old played Ferguson's on-screen daughter, Lily Tucker-Pritchett, for nine seasons on Modern Family.

The Emmy-nominated actor shared a series of photos from the evening to his Instagram, including a snap with Anderson-Emmons, a picture of his playbill and a shot of the cast on stage.

“Got to see my talented pretend daughter @aubreyandersonemmons in her high school production of THE BURN,” Ferguson wrote. “It's crazy to think Aubrey was just a few months older than Beckett when I met her! Look at her now!!! Congrats, Aubrey! You were SO great! Love you! You make a pretend papa proud [red heart emoji].”

Anderson-Emmons showed her appreciation in the comments section, where she wrote, “Thank you so much for coming!!”

Although she's a high schooler now, Anderson-Emmons was only 4 years old when she first joined Modern Family, and when the cast of the sitcom won the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series in 2011, she became the youngest person to ever receive the award. Following her time on Modern Family, the 16-year-old has maintained a strong social media presence, but she has not taken on any other professional roles, seemingly to focus on school.

As Ferguson notes in his caption, he shares two children off screen now, named Beckett, 3, and Sullivan, 1, with his husband, Justin Mikita, 38.

However, the Cocaine Bear actor has remained in close contact with his Modern Family co-stars ever since the show ended in 2020, and you can often see them featured on his Instagram.

Supportive on and off the screen.
