Jesse Tyler Ferguson Responds to Mass Confusion About His ‘Selling Sunset’ Cameo, Lol

Selling Sunset Season 4 was perhaps the most unhinged thing I’ve ever seen, mostly thanks to the completely un-ironic dog party that included not one but two poems. But apparently, the internet is extremely focused on a cameo from Modern Family’s very own Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who showed up at Christine Quinn’s baby shower with literally no explanation. Like, this is Twitter rn:

Anyway, apparently Jesse did a random Twitter search of his name, as one does, and was especially amused by this tweet: “Jesse Tyler Ferguson made an appearance at Christine’s baby shower. He’s either doing poorly post-Modern Family or he was just hella bored post-pandemic and craved ANY social interaction.”

In response, Jesse mused, “I just did a quick search of my name on Twitter & I’m LOLing at the unanimous confusion about this. I’m doing great & staying busy post MF but thank you for checking in on me!”

Gonna go ahead and assume Jesse is friends with Christine and her husband, hence the baby shower invite. And speaking of this shower, his appearance was hardly the most unexpected thing about it. That honor goes to the inexplicable inclusion of a literal sloth as well as a scarlet macaw, both of whom (I assume) would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that they never asked to be part of, since 2009. But yeah, according to Christine, the party was a “modern, high-fashion take on the jungle,” which was “inspired by a banana leaf–print wallpaper” she used in her nursery, so obviously, a sloth was a must.
