Fans of MTV's beloved reality show "Jersey Shore" will be clamoring to get their hands on Mike Sorrentino's new book. Better known as "The Situation," Sorrentino is holding nothing back in his new tell-all aptly titled "Reality Check: Making the Best of The Situation" which was released on Dec. 19. The book details the controversial star's climb to fame on the hit show, his rapid fall and how he has gotten his life back on track and become a family man. The memoir is available now on Amazon and is retailing at $27 for a hardback and $11 for the Kindle version. Sorrentino also narrates the audiobook.

In "Reality Check," Sorrentino "paints a raw and uncensored picture" of what it was really like to be a part of one of the raunchiest reality shows of all time. From intoxicated interactions with celebrities like The Rock and Leonardo DiCaprio to searching for drugs to avoid withdrawal in Italy and physical fights with other castmates, this is all just the tip of the iceberg for the now 41-year-old.
Sorrentino also shares his troubling thoughts after trying heroin and his journey through prison after being convicted of tax evasion. He served eight months.
However, this book is more than tabloid fodder — it's also a story about redemption. After years of struggles, Sorrentino persisted and worked to become clean. According to his Instagram account, he recently celebrated eight years of sobriety on Dec. 1. He is the proud husband to his wife, Lauren, and father to his two children, Mia Bella and Romeo Reign; the couple is expecting another daughter in March 2024.
