MTV’s most nostalgic reboot, Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, is back with the second half of its sixth season, bringing with it a grand return to form. For the first time in 11 years, our screens will be graced by the sweetest bitch you’ll ever meet, Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola. Sammi's return has brought more attention to the series than ever before and could even pull the largest audience yet.

If you haven’t tuned into the last six seasons of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, you’ve missed a lot. Luckily, we’ve been watching, and we’re here to bring you up to speed. Some cast members have swapped liquor bottles for baby bottles, some have built up legal rap sheets, and some have remained almost entirely the same (cough, cough, Vinny). Here’s everything you’ve missed in the lives of your favorite reality stars.

Paul “Pauly D” DelVecchio

A DJ from Rhode Island, Pauly D is best known for his many spirited catchphrases and his gravity-defying hairdo. While he did pursue a brief romance with JWoww in the early seasons of Jersey Shore, his most notable on-screen relationship is his bromance with Vinny Guadagnino. Following the success of the series, Pauly D was the first cast member to receive his own spinoff show, The Pauly D Project, which followed him touring across the country as a DJ. Today, Pauly D lives in Las Vegas, continues to DJ, and is in a relationship with Nikki Hall, though they keep their private life pretty private. In October 2013, Pauly D announced he is the father of a baby girl named Amabella Sophia.

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi

Also known for her gravity-defying hairdos and drunken shenanigans, Snooki was considered by The New York Times to be “the breakout member” of the Jersey Shore cast. After the show, Snooki went on to land her own spinoff show with fellow cast member JWoww (titled Snooki & Jwoww), competed on Dancing With the Stars, and penned three books: A Shore Thing, Confessions of a Guidette, and Gorilla Beach.

Towards the end of the Jersey Shore run, Snooki met the man who would become her husband, Jionni LaValle. The pair were engaged in March 2012 and welcomed their first child Lorenzo in August that year. Today, the couple lives in New Jersey and are the parents of three children: Lorenzo, Giovanna, and Angelo. Snooki owns and runs The Snooki Shop, a boutique with locations in New Jersey and New York.

Jenny “JWoww” Farley

Known for being the only non-Italian cast member of Jersey Shore, Jenny "JWoww" Farley appeared on every season of Jersey Shore as well as Marriage Boot Camp and Snooki & JWoww. In 2010, she wrote a book, succinctly titled According to JWOWW: Shore-Tested Secrets On Landing a Mint Guy, Staying Fresh to Death, and Kicking the Competition to the Curb. In 2015, she won the seventh season of Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition.

Much of her legacy on Jersey Shore revolves around her tumultuous relationship with Roger Matthews, who appeared on the original series. The pair married in 2015 and JWoww gave birth to their two kids, Meilani and Greyson. In 2018, the pair announced their divorce and entered into a highly contentious and public court battle, which was finalized in 2019. In 2019, she began dating long-time friend and professional wrestler Zack Carpinello. Their relationship appeared on the third season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. In February 2021, the couple announced their engagement. (So, expect to see more "twenty four" in Family Vacation episodes to come!)

Vinny Guadagnino

Born and raised in Staten Island, Vinny Guadagnino appeared on all six seasons of Jersey Shore and joined the reboot in 2018. In the years between, Vinny landed his own talk show on MTV called The Show with Vinny, went on to start in a Cooking Channel show with his mother Paola called Vinny & Ma Eat America, and landed a dating show with Pauly D on MTV called Double Shot at Love. In 2019, he performed in a month long Vegas residency as a Chippendales host, which was documented on the third season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.

In 2021, he competed on The Masked Dancer as "Hammerhead," and in 2022 he competed on season 31 of Dancing With the Stars. He is best known these days for being "The Keto Guido," promoting the low-carb keto diet which inspired him to author a cookbook in 2019 called The Keto Guido Cookbook. Vinny currently resides in New York City and appears to be single, though who can be sure.

Michael “The Situation” Sorrentino

Jersey Shore's most dedicated cast member, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino has appeared on every iteration of the series, aside from the time he spent in federal prison during which his wife appeared and his storyline remained in the public eye. In the early years of the show, The Situation was arguably the most unpredictable and destructive cast member. In 2012, he publicly acknowledged his struggle with prescription drugs and entered rehab. He has been sober since December 2015. In 2018, he married his college sweetheart, Lauren Pesce. That same year, he pleaded guilty to one count of tax evasion and was sentenced to eight months in federal prison. He was released in 2019, and in 2021 he and his wife welcomed their first child. Today, the couple lives in New Jersey and are the parents of two kids, Romeo and Mia.

Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola

An original Jersey Shore cast member, Sammi appeared on all six seasons of the show and can be remembered for her volatile relationship with Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, her iconic quip “Ron, stahp,” and her tagline, “I’m the sweetest bitch you’ll ever meet.” When MTV announced the Family Reunion reboot in 2018, she declined to return, dedicating her focus to her relationship and career and hoping to “avoid potentially toxic situations.” Her return to the sixth season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation marks the end of an 11-year hiatus from reality television. The queen is back!

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro

One of Jersey Shore’s most controversial alumni, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro appeared on all six seasons of the original series and returned to the reboot in 2018. His original run was marked by his on-again off-again relationship with Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola, commemorated with the iconic “note.” His reboot run has been marked by his volatile relationships with other women, namely Jen Harley, with whom he shares a daughter, Ariana Sky.

In recent years, Ronnie has found himself in numerous legal battles following physical altercations with partners. In October 2019, he was arrested for felony domestic violence. Today, Ronnie has full custody of his daughter and lives in Miami, where he owns his own sneaker business. While he still appears on Family Vacation occasionally, he announced in May 2021 that he would be stepping back to focus on his mental health.

Deena Cortese

Snooki’s meatball in crime, Deena Cortese joined Jersey Shore in season 3, though she initially auditioned for the show’s pilot season but had to decline following a family emergency. Following her Jersey Shore run, Deena appeared on an episode of VH1’s Couples Therapy in 2014 and returned to the Jersey-verse in 2018 with Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. She married her husband Christopher Bucker in October 2017. Today, the couple lives in New Jersey and are the parents of two boys, CJ and Cameron.

Angelina Pivarnick

Jersey Shore’s resident Staten Island Girl, Angelina Pivarnick appeared on the first two seasons of the original series and returned for the reboot, Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. Following her exit from Jersey Shore, Angelina appeared on an episode of VH1’s Couples Therapy with her then-boyfriend in 2012. In 2018, she became engaged to her boyfriend Chris Larangeira, who appeared on Family Vacation alongside the reality star. The pair divorced in February 2022, and Angelina is currently engaged to model Vinny Tortorella, which she announced on an April episode of Family Vacation.
