New Jersey Shelter Shares Heartbreaking Stories of How Their Dogs Wound Up There

It's hard to imagine any happy story that ends with a dog or cat in their local animal shelter, but shelters can still help a dog find their happy ending. Even if they endured heartbreak and pain on the way there, shelter staff and volunteers do everything they can to show them love and comfort.

The kindhearted folks at the @voorheesanimalorphanage are no exception. This Voorhees, New Jersey animal shelter recently featured some adoptable pets and their tragic backstories on an August 7 TikTok post, hoping to get them adopted.

These babies are just so beautiful! It breaks our hearts to hear about all of the hardship they've endured, but we feel so hopeful that this viral video will help them find their Happily Ever Afters.
