The world knows Jerry Seinfeld as the mega-successful comedian and actor who starred in the beloved sitcom Seinfeld, but at his side for almost 25 years stands his wife, cookbook author Jessica Seinfeld. The couple met in 1998 and have been going strong ever since. 💪

If you're like me and randomly do research on the personal lives of all of your fave celebrities (or the entire cast of whatever show you just finished watching), then you've come to the right place! Here's what you should know about Jerry Seinfeld's wife Jessica.

According to the New York Times, Jerry and Jessica met at a Reebok gym in New York City on August 7, 1998. They quickly began a dating. Jessica told Eater that Jerry first told her he loved her at a Zabar's Jewish grocery store.

"This is the perfect time to tell you I love you," he told her.

"I just thought, 'My grandmother would be so happy,'" she recalled of the special moment.

The couple got engaged in November 1999 and was married on Christmas Day that same year. They've now been together nearly 25 years!

But them being together was kind of a scandal at first...

Remember how I told you Jessica and Jerry met at the gym in 1998? At the time, Jessica had been married to theatrical producer Eric Nederlander for two months. But Jessica said her marriage with Eric was already "irreparably broken" despite its short length, according to the New York Times. Her sister even recalled that Jessica began moving out of Eric's apartment a month before she even met Jerry.

Despite the lack of overlap, Eric was still not pleased and made it known in the tabloids. "I was manipulated, misled, and completely caught off guard by Jessica's infidelity," he told Page Six in 1998. "Jerry and Jessica have no respect for decent values. They deserve each other."

Jerry, for his part, was not down to mud sling in the press: “The true story of what happened has never been printed, No. 1, because it’s not nearly as interesting as the gossip, and No. 2, because my wife, to her great credit in my opinion, doesn’t have much interest in setting the tabloid record straight,” Jerry wrote in a New York Times letter. “But if in the future some slight effort could be made to determine the actual events of the story, it would be greatly appreciated by my wife and me.”

The Seinfelds have three kids together

Jerry and Jessica were able to put this ^ fuss behind them and focus on building a life together. They've since welcomed three kids over the decades; Sascha Betty, Julian Kal, and Shepherd Kellen Seinfeld.

Jessica wrote five cookbook and has a cooking blog

If there's one thing Jessica knows how to do, it's cook. And she's not shy about sharing her vast knowledge with the world. Mrs. Seinfeld has written five cookbooks: Deceptively Delicious (a #1 New York Times Bestseller), Double Delicious, The Can't Cook Book, Food Swings, and her most recent Vegan, at Times. She also started a blog called jessicaseinfeld.com where she posts delicious recipes.

She also started a charity called the Good+Foundation

In 2001, shortly after giving birth to her first baby, Jessica founded Good+Foundation (originally named Baby Buggy).
