Jeremy Scott Turns Fifth Element Orange into the Hair Color of the Moment

Paying tribute to cult classic "The Fifth Element," Jeremy Scott sent an army of Leelo lookalikes down the runway.

Jeremy Scott has Fifth Element fever. Over 20 years since the release of Luc Besson’s cult classic, the designer sent an army of Leelo lookalikes down the runway clad in kaleidoscopic prints, sweats with bondage-style straps, and furry thigh-high moon boots.

Paying homage to the sci-fi film’s dauntless heroine played by Milla Jovovich, and her pièce de résistance atomic orange bob, hairstylist Eugene Souleiman created Manic Panic-d, micro-fringed wigs in the famous citrus shade, as well as sky blue, cotton candy pink, mint green, and lemon yellow. To complement the bright, geometric coifs, makeup artist Kabuki slashed matching monochrome liner in a triangular shape above the eyes to feline-like effect

Leelo may be from the future—the 23rd century to be exact—but the juxtaposition between her acid-bright hair and natural beauty, as worn by models like Gigi Hadid and Slick Woods, suddenly feels right on time.
