The actor is finally opening up about the near-fatal accident.

Jeremy Renner is finally talking about the near-fatal snowplow accident that landed him in the hospital in critical care for weeks.

Good Morning America teased a snippet of Renner's interview with Diane Sawyer, which will air in its entirety on Thursday, April 6. And, during the sit down, the Marvel actor revealed that he wrote his "last words" to his family while in critical condition.

"If I was there, on my own, that would've been a horrible way to die," he recalled to Sawyer in the snippet. "And surely, I would've. Surely. But I wasn't alone — [I was with] my nephew. Sweet Alex. And the rest of the calvary came."

Per Sawyer, Renner wrote a goodbye letter to his family while in the hospital. Renner confirmed this to be true, noting, "I'm writing down notes in my phone — my last words to my family."

Understandably, this memory nearly moved the Hawkeye actor to tears.

The accident, which happened on Jan. 1 in early in the morning, was nearly fatal for the movie star. A sneak peek of the interview included bits of the 911 calls sent to emergency services. At one point, a neighbor is heard saying, "Someone's in front of my house on the ground and got run over by a snowcat, he's been crushed."

The man continues, emphasizing the seriousness of the injuries: "Send paramedics, ambulance… Listen to me. I need — you might wanna get life flight out here immediately...He's in rough shape."

In another clip of the interview, Renner revealed the extent of his injuries, telling Sawyer, "I've lost a lot of flesh and bone in this experience, but I've been refueled and refilled with love and titanium."

Although he is still healing and recovering, Renner isn't letting that stop him from doing what he loves. His new reality show, Rennervations, will premiere on Disney+ on April 12, and Renner seems very excited about the new project, as he shared a first look on social media.
